THE PEACE LILIES
Introducing 'The Peace Lilies' - a future large scale installation merging art, light, nature, technology, and sound. Currently in R&D phase as I explore the fusion of textiles with illumination with the aim to develop further.
CONCEPT
Imagine a new botanical species. . . The seeds of which date back to pre-historic times that have remained dormant for millenia. With Earth in crisis these ancient seeds start to awaken.
Stirring from deep within the Earth, the seeds erupt through city pavements to blossom into huge, jurassic plant forms, far larger than plants we know today.
These plants are more advanced than any life form ever seen, their petals radiating, transcendental light and emitting high vibrational sound frequencies that cleanse the atmosphere.
These are The Peace Lilies.
MESSAGE
I see this installation as a powerful metaphor. The more we annihilate nature, the more our ecosystems spiral into chaos. The Peace Lilies symbolise nature’s resilience - not through destruction but through beauty, using the high vibrational frequencies of light and sound to radiate peace. They stand as a voice for the planet and as a testament to humanity’s ongoing evolution.
INSTALLATION
It is my aim to further develop my current botanicals, expanding the multi-layered petals to serve as surfaces for colour changing back lighting, that blends with beautiful, projected visuals.
